The theme manifesto – manifestation was a long-term task for all studios at the Department of Photography at FAMU. It meant space for a large variety of genres and theoretical approaches, on the other hand, it also meant the shared reflection of the topic by the group of young people not only from Czech Republic.– This contrast between collective experience and individuality of each of them could be visible in the presented installation.

Several key approaches in the installation can be detected – the revolt against the conventional image; the manifestation of the individuality of authors confronting the world; subversive questioning the possibility to manifest anything to anybody in our days... The particular pieces scrutinize the sense of radical manifestos. Some of these skeptic attitudes, however, perhaps must be due to the present dramatical geopolitical situation in the Europe as well as in the rest of the world reconsidered by authors themselves.
